CPS Board Membership Application Process Opened

The membership committee of the National Child Passenger Safety Board has announced that the membership application process for the 2009 Board has been opened. Completed applications and seven copies of the application must be received by mail no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT, July 31, 2008.

Applications for Board membership are being sought in the following categories:

  • Child Passenger Safety Advocate (One position) - Candidate must be an individual representing the CPS community. Candidate will serve on the board as an individual -- not representing his/her employer.
  • Injury Prevention / Public Health (One position) - Candidate must work for an organization with statewide reach or influence and have experience developing and coordinating injury prevention programs.

Terms for all open positions begin with the first Board meeting in 2009.

Interested persons may apply for more than one position, if appropriate. If you are applying for more than one position, complete a separate Application Form for each position. Please note, however, that even though you may apply for more than one position, you would only be selected to represent one category.

Also note that if you are representing an organization, you must have the organization's Executive Director or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) sign the Application Form.
